As World AIDS Day (Dec 1) approaches, The drug company Bristol-Meyers Squibb built a website to help AIDS research. If you let the page load, you can chose to "light" a candle anywhere in the world. Just chose the place, and chose why you're lighting it. I decided to light mine for hope. For every candle lit, they will donate $1 to AIDS research. Now they are going to donate a minimum of $100,000 but- if we can get more candles than that lit, think of all the extra money that will be donated. At last count, there are 2,206 candles, a long way to go. Think how easy it is to give. Just a few clicks of the mouse, and you've helped fund a worthy cause, without ever having to leave your chair.
Give it a try...http://www.lighttounite.org/
please light a candle and pass it on.
Attention homos: Arnold Schwarzenegger hasn't vetoed the gay marriage bill yet. In fact, it hasn't even "officially" been put on his desk yet.
Though his aide said he will veto it, she has been wrong in the past. Leno, the senator who sponsored the bill notes "Margita Thompson has said all kinds of things in the past that have proven not to be true."
Okay, I have two things to announce:
One: BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN
! No, not Bareback Mountain. This is a gay cowboy movie starring Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal. FOR REAL. The trailer made me teary-eyed, that doesn't make me gay does it?
And secondly, Same-Sex Marriage Bill Passes in California
! I love California. The bill passed the Senate and Assembly but now it's on Arnold's desk. It's likely that he will veto it, but I'm not sure what he'll do, honestly. I know that I'm sending MY assemblyman (Jay LaSuer, R-La Mesa) a nasty letter [two nasty letters] for THIS BULlSHITBETRAYED YOUR CONSTITUENTS?????
Fuck you, Jay. No better yet, you get no sex from me. Just letters. Nasty, gay letters.
Hey, I'm Nic and I'm a homosexual. I'm a cool homosexual too because I've been stamped by this community. It was a long time ago, however and I was wondering, if I wanted to start participating again, would I have to re-apply? I don't have a clue what the link is to my stamped post but I'm listed in the stamped members.
